Congress Legislative Party to hold meeting over MLC Polls in Mumbai

Mumbai, June 21 (ANI): With Maharashtra Legislative Council (MLC) polls leaving many parties in worries over the results, Congress leader Prithviraj Chavan on June 21 in Mumbai, called Chandrakant Handore receiving less votes as something concerning, and informed that the Congress Legislative Party has called a meeting on June 21. “I don't know what strategy was decided but we know he (Chandrakant Handore) had received several first preference votes. Still, he received very few votes. It's a matter of concern and sends out wrong message. Congress Legislative Party meet called today,” the Congress leader said. “I will not comment on what is happening with any other party but we will discuss it in the right place if it is needed. This is not something to be discussed in public,” he added. “Let's not go into ifs and buts. Voting (MLC) took place only yesterday. Our majority (numbers) has gone down a little, it is a matter of concern,” he further added.
