Delhi Police arrests BCA student turned cyberstalker for harassing girl

New Delhi, June 6 (ANI): Delhi Police arrested a BCA student turned cyberstalker for harassing a girl through a fake Instagram account for taking revenge. The accused was identified as Ankit Kumar. A girl filed a complaint at Cyber Police Station Dwarka and alleged that she received many vulgar calls from different people. On this, the police registered a case and apprehended the accused. During interrogation, the accused disclosed that his girlfriend and the complainant were fast friends, which the accused didn’t like. Because of this, the accused and the complainant got into a heated argument with each other and the complainant insulted him in front of his girlfriend. The accused devised a plan thinking to take revenge on the complainant. He took some of the photos of the complainant from her Instagram account and edited them. Thereafter, he created a fake Instagram account by using her name and photos. In the description of the account, he added the complainant’s contact numbers with an obscene context. He also sent obscene messages and contents from the complainant’s fake account to her followers.
