Delhi Police Commissioner announces ‘PARHIT’ welfare schemes for serving, retired personnel

New Delhi, May 26 (ANI): Commissioner of Delhi Police, Rakesh Asthana announced several welfare schemes for serving and retired personnel and their families in a ceremony ‘PARHIT’ held at Police Headquarters. Continuing with fresh beneficial measures for police families, the CP, Delhi launched the revamped website of Welfare Wing. The refurbished website link offers welfare-related information and solutions like Jobs on Compassionate Ground, Delhi Police Welfare Scheme, Health & Wellness, Mess booking facilities etc. Besides, all the documents including ID-Card, Pension Payment Order, Discharge Certificate and Senior Citizen Card of the retirees will now be provided on Digi-Locker, so that these documents remain secure and handy with all ex-personnel. Financial aid was distributed to the families of police martyrs of Covid-19 by the CP, Delhi. The Welfare Unit also signed MoUs with reputed institutions. These institutions have offered discounted or free courses for police wards preparing for competitive exams or higher studies. On this occasion, CP, Delhi felicitated some noted resource persons. Officers from Welfare Unit and Districts were also honored by the CP, Delhi for their contribution in establishing various welfare mechanisms in such a short time.
