Devanagari Writing Exhibition 2023 held at Centre for Oriental Literature, Moscow

Moscow (Russia), Oct 11 (ANI/ TV BRICS): The Devanagari exhibition of Indian writing is held at the Centre for Oriental Literature for the first time. The exhibition presents rare collection of books written in Sanskrit from the Russian state library, also calligraphic works by members of the society of Sanskrit revivalists. Devanagari style has existed since ages, but recently it is being used in calligraphy. The main exhibit is the work of one of the most important and famous Indian calligraphers, Achyut Pallav. The images are in different styles and variations on the theme of the Sanskrit alphabets. Sanskritologist Olga Litvinenko, a student of Achyut Pallav, also presented her work. The exhibition consists of several expositions. The art is built around the syllabic alphabets of Sanskrit.
