Dec 24, 2022

Verna (Goa), New Delhi, December 24 (ANI):India is expected to emerge into a trillion-dollar economy by 2030 as per market projections and claims of many Union Ministers. In this race to make India a trillion-dollar economy, 5G is expected to play a key role. 5G services in India were formally launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in October this year, at the 6th edition of India Mobile Congress (IMC). However, increased dependency on technology can come with drawbacks. Over-dependence on 5G may require new approaches to cyber security. Goa Director General of Police (DGP) Jaspal Singh recently highlighted a few of these drawbacks. As 5G networks will become more widely adopted, they are likely to be targeted by malware and ransomware attacks.
