Jun 25, 2022

Mumbai, June 25 (ANI): As the situation for Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray continues to become grimmer with his close aide switching sides, Shiv Sena MP Arvind Sawant informed that the party is in talks with the Deputy Speaker of state Assembly to disqualify 16 of the rebel MLAs. “We had requested Deputy Speaker to disqualify 12 MLAs and now 4 more. We've again talked to Deputy Speaker requesting an initiation on proceedings. Their disqualification notice will be served tomorrow or the day after,” he said. “As per law, when two-third members leave a political party, they have to merge with another party. Now they'll go far from saffron and Shiv Sena. They used to say that they are Shiv Sena but they will be permanently far from Shiv Sena,” added Arvind Sawant.
