Feb 12, 2022
Melbourne (Australia), Feb 12 (ANI): External Affairs Minister (EAM) S Jaishankar on February 12 emphasised on working towards rule-based international order, freedom of navigation in international waters, promoting connectivity, growth, and security for all while respecting the territorial integrity and sovereignty of all states. EAM addressing a joint Press Conference with Australian Foreign Minister Marise Payne in Melbourne said, “We would continue to work towards rule-based international order, freedom of navigation in international waters, promoting connectivity, growth, and security for all while respecting the territorial integrity and sovereignty of all states.” “We discussed briefly the progress in our defence and security cooperation which reflects our growing strategic convergence. The inaugural cyber framework dialogue was useful in reviewing our joint activities under the framework agreement. We also shared concerns about terrorism and extremism. We have serious concerns about continuing cross-border terrorism and it is our shared endeavour to deepen counter-terrorism cooperation,” EAM added.
