Embracing tradition with nature: Vadodara’s schools celebrate colourful eco-friendly Holi

Vadodara (Gujarat), March 22 (ANI): In anticipation of the Holi festival, Vadodara’s Prince Ashok Raje Gaekwad School and Devyaniraje Gaekwad School celebrated eco-friendly Holi. The celebration witnessed a beautiful sight of both the teachers and students playing with colours, and flowers and grooving to the beats of popular Holi songs. In a unique style of celebration, the children in Vadodara celebrated an eco-friendly Holi with wasted flowers from the temple. This eco-friendly celebration is a message to the world to avoid chemical colours and celebrate an eco-friendly and safe Holi. Holi is essentially the festival of colours celebrated across the country which symbolizes joy, and victory of good over evil. Talking to ANI, a student said, “The Holi is celebrated in an eco-friendly way with flowers, leaves and colours. We had a lot of fun today. We felt joy.” Another school official said, “We have organised an eco-friendly Holi where eco-friendly colours are being used. You can see people are having fun. We played Holi with 500 kg flowers and these are waste flowers.”
