Fake call centre duping unemployed youth busted by Delhi Police

New Delhi, December 06(ANI): Delhi Police has busted an international syndicate involved in duping unemployed youths on the pretext of providing jobs in the E-commerce Company Amazon. A total of 4 accused have been arrested in this regard. The police team has also exposed a fake call centre at Ashok Vihar in Delhi, which was used for transferring the duped amount to Dubai. These accused used to send fake website links to victims from WhatsApp for the completion of various tasks. After that, they used to demand money from victims via virtual wallets. Further, the accused would request more money from the victims to open the next task. A lady complainant filed a complaint at the Cyber Police Station in North District and alleged that she was cheated of more than 3 lakh rupees for getting work from home. On this, the police registered a case and started the investigation. During the investigation, with the help of technical surveillance and manual information, police apprehended 4 accused after conducting continuous raids at several locations. Further, a police team recovered 12 mobile phones, 22 SIM cards, 17 ATM cards and cash from the accused persons.
