Fencing Championship organised in Imphal

Imphal (Manipur), Oct 18 (ANI): 17th Governor’s Cup State-Level Fencing Championship 2021-22 was organised at the Khuman Lampak Stadium in Imphal. 256 fencers from twelve teams participated in the championship. The annual tournament aims to provide exposure to fencers in the state. The sport has also gained popularity after Bhavani Devi became the first Indian fencer to register a victory at Tokyo Olympics 2020.
