“Fight against terrorism can’t be compromised for political gains” India at UNSC

Washington (USA), December 22 (ANI): While addressing at UNSC on Syria’s political-humanitarian situation, India’s Permanent Representative to United Nations, Ruchira Kamboj on December 21 said that the global fight against terrorism cannot and should not be compromised for narrow political gains. She said, “The global fight against terrorism cannot and should not be compromised for narrow political gains.” Further, she said, “There is an urgent imperative on the international community to display zero tolerance approach towards terrorism without any double standards.” “We stand ready to do more in the coming days and months to help our Syrian brothers and sisters in their hour of need. India will continue to play a constructive and meaningful role in support of Syria and its people in their endeavour for lasting peace and stability,” Kamboj said.
