New Delhi, March 09 (ANI): The Apollo Hospital in Delhi on March 08 unveiled ZAP-X technology. It is an innovative technology designed for the treatment of brain tumours in sessions lasting 30 minutes. According to Apollo, the brain tumour care treatment is non-invasive and provides 30-minute sessions that offer fast recovery. The technology allows for a day-care procedure, enabling patients to return home post-treatment without the necessity of anesthesia. On the other hand, traditional surgeries require 4-7 days or more of hospitalisation. Dr. Sudheer Tyagi, Neuro Surgeon at Apollo Hospital said, "During MRI, if you find out that a patient has a big tumor and there is swelling, first the swelling is reduced through emergency surgery. Once patient improves, for the leftover tumor, we use ZAP-X treatment to make sure the tumor doesn't grow again. This machine works with high radiation."
