‘Footsteps of Buddha’: 24 high-ranking monks from Bhutan arrive in India to strengthen cultural, religious ties

Kolkata (West Bengal), Nov 22 (ANI): A delegation of 24 high-ranking Bhutanese monks is on a visit to India from Nov 22 to Nov 30. The delegation arrived in Kolkata on Nov 22 and is scheduled to visit several prominent Buddhist heritage sites in India. The visit aimed at further strengthening the India- Bhutan cultural and spiritual ties. The visit is being hosted by the International Buddhist Confederation in coordination with the Central Monastic Body of Bhutan. Prominent monks from Central Monastic Body in Thimpu are part of the delegation. Senior monks from Bhutan’s monasteries will also join the delegation.
