Gilgit Baltistan: Young doctors unite against govt’s bill to increase doctors’ retirement age

Gilgit, Gilgit Baltistan, 15 August, 2023: - A number of doctors associated with the Gilgit-Baltistan Young Doctors Association rallied against a contentious bill that increased the retirement age for government hospital doctors to 65 years. In a press conference held in Gilgit, Dr. Bahadur Shah, the President of Gilgit-Baltistan Young Doctors Association, alongside fellow office bearers, took a vocal stand against the decision, attributing it to nepotism rather than a sincere effort to improve healthcare.
