Go after big fish in drug trafficking cases: Nirmala Sitharaman to Directorate of Revenue Intelligence

New Delhi, Dec 05 (ANI): While addressing the 65th foundation day celebrations of the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) in Delhi on Dec 05, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman targeted the smugglers and said that “Big Fish” involved in the illegal trade of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, gold, and other goods into the country, needs to be busted. She asked the DRI to make sure to not allow the smugglers to be smarter than them and said, “Smuggler cannot be smart than you. He will leave a trail, he will leave some kind of evidence for you to track and he will give you an indication of the modus operandi. And this makes you successful and you will always continue to be successful.”
