Goa CM PramodSawant flags-off 2nd edition of Ironman 70.3 race in Panaji

Panaji (Goa) Nov 13 (ANI): Goa Chief Minister flagged off the second edition of Ironman 70.3 in Panaji on Nov 13. BJP MP Tejashwi Surya also attended the event. Around 1300 participants from across 33 countries reportedly participated in the Ironman 70.3 race. The participants are required to complete 1.9 km open sea swim, 90 km cycling and 21 kms running within eight-and-a-half hours to qualify for 2023 Ironman World Championship.The first season of Ironman 70.3 was held in Goa in 2019.While speaking at the event Goa CM Pramod Sawant said I congratulate its organizers for organizing the event again. “Earlier this event was attended by 1,050 people and now the number of participants in this program has increased, this time around 1,453 people have participated in it. We are giving full support to Ironman 70.3,” he said.
