New Delhi, June 25 (ANI): Union Home Minister Amit shah on June 25 referring to the conspiracy hatched to defame Gujarat said that Teesta Setalvad’s NGO gave fake applications at all police stations against BJP workers in the 2002 riots and due to media pressure all the applications were treated as true. During an interview with ANI’s Smita Prakash, HM Shah said, “I read the judgement very hurriedly but it clearly mentions Teesta Setalvad’s name. She had an NGO which gave such applications involving BJP workers, at all Police Stations. There was so much pressure by media that all applications were treated as the truth.” “We didn’t constitute SIT, Apex Court did. We didn’t choose the officers, Apex Court did after hearing the NGO. Officers who were chosen weren't from BJP-ruled states, they were from Central Govt, UPA had come to the power by then,” he added.
