Hyderabad, November 17 (ANI): Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has transformed the roadside that was once an eyesore and garbage dumping ground into a food street with an aim to provide employment opportunities for the youth. The GHMC took the unusual step to start a food court on the streets of Hyderabad so that several unemployed people could make money. To become the owner of the food stall, an initial payment of Rs 19,500 is required. Mohd Shariff stated that he received the stall under the KCR government. It became feasible after the shop was built. The Telangana government has completely transformed the area. People come from different places to taste the food. Previously, the area was a dumping ground, and a local MLA raised the issue and ensured that the area was cleaned. There is currently no rent for this. Mohammad Ahmed, a member of the medical department, stated that he ate there and the food is very fresh and the prices are reasonable. The work is very neat, clean, and hygienic. The TRS government has done an excellent job in opening this. Previously, there was a dustbin here, but it was later cleaned, and the government installed food stalls at reasonable rates. So many people found employment here. People travel long distances to eat here.
