IMD announces onset of southwest monsoon in some parts of Odisha

Bhubaneswar (Odisha), June 16 (ANI): India Meteorological Department (IMD) on June 16 announced the onset of the southwest monsoon in some parts of the State. Speaking to ANI, Senior Scientist at Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar Umashankar Das said, “Monsoon advanced into some parts of South Odisha. Many parts received wide rainfall activity. Temperatures are down across the state. Many parts saw heavy to very heavy rainfall. We expect monsoon to advance further into state in 2-3 days.”
