IMD issues 'Orange Alert' for parts of HP, predicts rain activity for next 5 days

Shimla (Himachal Pradesh), July 08 (ANI): India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an ‘Orange Alert’ for several parts of Himachal Pradesh and also predicted that rain activity will continue for the next 5 days. While talking to ANI, IMD Scientist, Jayanta Sarkar said, “For July 8-9, we have issued an orange alert for Kangra, Mandi, Sirmaur and Solan districts. Heavy rain warning has been issued for Shimla, Bilaspur, Hamirpur, and Una districts. The rain activity will continue for the next 4-5 days.”
