IMD issues orange warning for severe heatwave condition for Delhi, neighbouring areas

New Delhi, June 06 (ANI): India Meteorological Department has issued an orange warning for the heatwave condition for Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, and Uttar Pradesh till June 08. Speaking to ANI, Senior scientist, IMD, RK Jenamani said, “Severe heatwave condition prevailed from June 4 in Haryana, Punjab, Delhi, UP & parts of MP, Rajasthan. Temperature varying between 44°-47°. The heatwave shall continue for 3 more days. We advise people to venture out carefully as the heatwave spell is very severe.Meanwhile, North Eastern parts are likely to witness heavy rainfall during this period. Warnings have been issued for Assam, Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh.
