Imran Khan's party leader invites EAM Jaishankar to join PTI's protest in Islamabad, Pakistan

New Delhi, October 06 (ANI): Imran Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party has urged EAM S Jaishankar to take part in PTI’s protest in Islamabad. EAM Jaishankar is set to visit Islamabad to attend the SCO Summit meeting in Pakistan on October 15-16, 2024. During a Zeo News TV program, Md Ali Saif, who is the advisor to KPK Chief Minister on Information, PRs, invited India's EAM. The protest is part of PTI's continued demonstrations against the Shahbaz Sharif Govt over Imran Khan's arrest. EAM Jaishankar’s visit to Pakistan is focused on the multilateral event, SCO Summit. Pakistan is witnessing an anti-government rally led by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party in Islamabad. Authorities had sealed off Islamabad and blocked cellphone services to prevent the gathering. The city is on high alert in the lead-up to a series of high-level diplomatic events, including a visit of EAM Jaishankar. Shipping containers blocked entry points to Islamabad, guarded by large numbers of police, paramilitary troops. The protesters plan to gather in the city's red zone, which houses the country's parliament, foreign embassies. Over 80 police personnel have been injured in clashes with supporters of jailed former Prime Minister Imran Khan.
