India Day celebrated in Moscow
Aug 15, 2022
Moscow (Russia), Aug 15, 2022, (ANI / TV BRICS): Vivid colours, the aroma of spices & incense, and conversations in hindi, a large-scale ethnic festival, India day, took place in Moscow. This is the 7th time the festival has been held in Russia. According to the organisers, Moscow’s weather has never failed them: despite all forecasts, the sun always shines in the capital on India day. There was an Indian bazaar at the festival, where more than 120 stalls. Jewellery, spices, silk scarves, natural cosmetics and souvenirs, tea, and even furniture were showcased. This one is handmade from mahogany. Traditionally, this craft is developed in India by family dynasties. Visitors enjoyed sampling souvenirs and incense to have a gift from India as a memory of the festival. Christina Govorova says she's been looking forward to this summer all year long, to travel again to cover 3000 kilometres from norilsk to moscow, to learn more about india's fascinating culture, such as Bindi. This year the two countries are celebrating 75 years of friendship and cooperation. The same number of apple trees will now grow in the landscape park. As a sign of strengthening diplomatic relations, the honoured guests planted an orchard. The ceremony was attended by tv brics ceo zhanna tolstikova and partners of the international network. The festival's organisers are sure that the friendship between the five countries will only grow stronger and it will bear fruit.
