India initiates internal measures over deaths in Uzbekistan due to Noida made cough syrup

New Delhi, December 29 (ANI): Indian pharmaceutical industry has been a reliable supplier to countries across the world, said the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) on December 29 in the wake of reports of deaths in Uzbekistan allegedly due to contaminated cough syrup Dok Maks made by Indian company Marion Biotech based in Noida. “Indian pharmacy has been a reliable supplier to the world. We take very seriously when these incidences come up. We are in contact and internal measures have been initiated,” said MEA Spokesperson Arindam Bagchi.
