Indian Army conducts 10 days National Cadet Corps (NCC) training camp near LOC in J&K’s Gurez

Gurez (J&K), June 15 (ANI): The Indian army conducted 10 10-day National Cadet Corps (NCC) training camp near LOC at Gurez area of Bandipora district of North Kashmir. The training camp was organised by the 3 J&K Battalion of the National Cadet Corps (NCC), Baramulla. The camp has attracted the presence of 346 cadets hailing from remote border regions of North Kashmir -Uri, Kupwara, Handwara, Sopore, Pattan, Bandipora, Machil, Tangdhar, and Baramulla. This remarkable initiative close to the Pakistan border on LoC aims to foster patriotism, leadership, and discipline among the young cadets. The NCC Camp serves as a unique platform for the cadets to engage in a series of Training activities including Drills, Weapon Training, Map Reading, Radio Telephony, etc, and also bring to the fore their inert talents in various competitions like Debate, Painting, Volleyball that promote physical fitness, mental agility, and character building. The NCC cadets lauded this step taken by the Indian army as these types of camps help NCC cadets in many ways.
