Indian Coast Guard carries out rescue operation in Arabian Sea after getting distress alert

Mumbai, July 06 (ANI): Indian Coast Guard (ICG) on July 06 carried out a rescue operation in the Arabian Sea near the Porbandar coast in Gujarat after a distress alert was received from MT Global King due to uncontrolled flooding onboard. Vessel in position 93 NM West of Porbandar and on way from Khor Fakkan UAE-Karwar India, carrying 6000T of Bitumen with 22 crew onboard. Rescue operation with other agencies has been initiated. ICG has deployed newly commissioned ALH Dhruv choppers for rescue operations.
