Indian Embassy in Kathmandu marks ITEC Day

Kathmandu (Nepal), Mar 25 (ANI): The Embassy of India in Kathmandu on Friday evening celebrated the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) Day amid a procession held in its premises. The procession held at the India House Lawn inside the Indian Embassy premises was attended by dozens of ITEC alumni which included Nepali leaders as well as bureaucrats. Under the ITEC program number of senior officers and officials from various Ministries and Departments of the Government of Nepal got scholarships and grants in India’s most premier institutions. More than 100 ITEC alumni from Nepal attended the celebrations. The training courses offered under the ITEC program focuses on the fields of computers, engineering, information technology, journalism, banking, legislation, power, remote sensing, manpower research and many more. The event on Friday featured performances from several regions of India, showcasing the country's vibrant culture, variety, and way of life.
