India’s step to extend gap between 1st, 2nd vaccine dose reasonable: US Chief Medical Adviser
May 14, 2021
Washington DC (USA), May 14 (ANI): White House Chief Medical Adviser, Dr Anthony Fauci called India’s step to extend time interval between first and second dose of COVID vaccine “a reasonable approach” amid the shortage during an exclusive interview with ANI. “When there's vaccine shortage, extending duration between 1st and 2nd dose to get more people to get 1st dose is reasonable approach. Unlikely that long delay would've negative effect on vaccine efficacy. I wouldn't refer it as cover-up,” said Dr Fauci.
