Interstate gang of highway robbers busted by Delhi Police

New Delhi, July 19 (ANI): With the arrest of two persons, the crime branch of Delhi police busted an interstate gang of highway robbers. The accused were identified as Mehraj and Gulzar. Recently a case of robbery was reported in PS Patparganj Industrial Area. The complainant reported that he boarded a Taxi to go to Gurugram near Anand Vihar Bus Terminal in which three passengers were already seated. After a few minutes, all the passengers in the taxi overpowered him and robbed his ATM Card and 8,000 thousand cash from him. After that, the robbers made a call to his family members to deposit money in his account and withdrew 8,500 rupees using an ATM in Greater Noida. In view of this, the Crime Branch started working on this case and analysed CCTV footage of nearby areas. Finally, the police found the location of one of the accused Mehraj in Madhuban area of Ghaziabad. On this information, a police team immediately rushed to the location and arrested him. Gulzar was also arrested from Masoori of Ghaziabad. During interrogation, both the accused disclosed committing three robberies in the past one month along with their associates.
