J-K: Entrepreneurship development programme in milk processing & food products in full swing in SKUAST

Srinagar, Dec 27 (ANI): 10-day entrepreneurship development programme in milk processing and food products is in full swing in SKUAST of Kashmir, Shuhama campus. It is being organised by Division of Livestock Products Technology, Faculty of Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry. The programme has been held under the sponsorship of Union Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises in its E-SDP Scheme. The purpose is to train participants about preservation, processing, marketing and manufacturing of milk food products. More than 25 participants are showing various dimensions of milk processing and marketing in the dairy sector. In Kashmir valley, a large number of people belong to dairy farming and they are producing a good quantity of milk. But due to a lack of technology, people especially, young entrepreneurs are not able to preserve the milk. So to raise this awareness among young entrepreneurs, government organised a 10-day special skill development programme.
