J-K: LG Manoj Sinha visits under-construction transit Accommodation for Kashmiri Pandits

Bandipore (J&K), Dec 14 (ANI): The Jammu and Kashmir administration is constructing transit accommodation for migrant Kashmiri Pandit employees at Odina village of the Sumbal area of Bandipora district in North Kashmir. In this regard, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha visited the under-construction project and inspected the ongoing development works at the Transit Accommodation Camps. This accommodation costsabout Rs 57 crore comprising 480 flats in 30 blocks. The construction of this transit accommodation started last year in May and it’s being constructed for Prime Minister package employees. This accommodation has a large capacity for a good number of families with proper facilities. Such types of developmental works also generate employment for several people including contractors, masons, carpenters, plumbers, electricians and painters. Locals of Sumbal village where this project is under process were very excited and felt that this is an excellent step taken by the government to rehabilitate migrant pandits.
