J-K: Massive plantation drive organises to preserve heritage Chinar trees in Srinagar

Srinagar, April 1 (ANI): Forest Department started a massive plantation drive aimed to preserve heritage Chinar trees in Srinagar. Students also participated in this plantation drive and trying to preserve Chinar trees. Without Chinar and other trees, Kashmir’s beauty is incomplete and that’s why presently everybody is keenly interested to participate in such type of plantation drives which the department of forests begins amid to save this precious heritage. Chinar trees have a very old aged historical background and considered as one of the important parts of heritage which attracts heritage lovers from different parts of the world. These heritage Chinars are hundred years old that are also depicting the rich Kashmir past and increasing the beauty of the whole valley especially some historical gardens including Chinar Bagh and Mughal gardens of the valley.
