J-K: Specially-abled boy walks to school on one leg to pursue his dreams in Handwara

Handwara (J&K), June 03 (ANI): Despite his physical disability, Parvaiz Ahmad Hajam does not want to hold back from fulfilling his dream. 14-year-old Parvaiz Ahmad Hajam is a resident of Nowgam Mawer village of Handwara Block area of Kupwara, J&K. To fulfil his dreams, he has to cover a distance of more than 2 kilometres while balancing on one leg. He is currently in 9th standard at Government Secondary School Nowgam. Parvaiz lost his second limb at the age of 2 when he suffered major burn injuries. He is not able to use the wheelchair provided by the government because of the bad condition of roads in his village. Parvaiz Ahmad's interest in getting an education has not diminished despite having to walk to school on just one leg.
