Jaishankar flags three challenges to food security - COVID, Conflict, Climate

New Delhi, Nov 24 (ANI): External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar on November 24 flagged three challenges to food security i.e. COVID, Conflict, Climate. He said, “we are the world’s largest producers of millet, almost 20 pc of the world’s production is ours. International relations started with food security. The fundamental urge to secure their own food and to see how they can get food from others. That is why we were keen to take Indian year of millets to International year of millets. I see three challenges to food security- COVID, Conflict, Climate. Each one has impacted food security significantly.
