Jamaican PM Andrew Holness's first-ever visit to India, receives ceremonial welcome

New Delhi, September 30 (ANI): At the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of Jamaica Andrew Holness paid an official visit to India. He was welcomed by MoS Finance Pankaj Chaudhary in New Delhi. This is his first visit to India, and also the first-ever bilateral visit of a Prime Minister of Jamaica to India. Earlier, Prime Minister Modi and Prime Minister Holness met several times on the sidelines of multilateral meetings. During the visit, Holness will hold delegation-level talks with Prime Minister Modi and call on President Droupadi Murmu and Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankar. The visit will also provide an opportunity for Holness to meet with other dignitaries and interact with trade and industry leaders. Several MoUs are expected to be signed during the visit giving a fillip to bilateral cooperation.
