Jammu Divisional Commissioner urges people to maintain communal harmony amid rising conflicts across country

Doda (J&K) June 11 (ANI): Amid rising conflict across the country over Nupur Sharma’s controversial remark over Prophet Muhammad, Divisional Commissioner of Jammu, Ramesh Kumar has urged people to maintain communal harmony. Speaking about the curfew imposed in some areas, Kumar said, “After some posts were seen on social media, restrictions had been placed in areas including Doda, Kishtwar & Bhaderwah. People who gathered here are being identified. FIR has been filed. Strict action would be taken.” “Everything is peaceful. There was no stone pelting even yesterday, just 1-2 people. People requested to maintain communal harmony. Restrictions still in Doda & Kishtwar. We are continuously monitoring the situation,” he added.
