Jazz with Russian Soul

Moscow (Russia), July 16 (ANI/ TV BRICS): The Moscow International House of Music hosted a concert titled "Jazz with Russian Soul". The presentation of forgotten, previously unheard tunes by famous Russian composers was timed to coincide with the centenary of Russian Jazz. Alexander Tsfasman's Jazz Suites, Alexander Varlamov's "Sweet Apples", and Unique Motifs by Dmitry Shostakovich. In addition to the musicians, the concert also included professional actors. So that the audience could feel the atmosphere and the moods of the first half of the 20th century. The right to be the first musicians to perform the unique scores was given to the musicians of Peter Vostokov's Big Jazz Orchestra. According to the head of the group, it's not easy, but yet it’s a very exciting task as the recordings don't exist. The concert is prepared by "Orpheus" with the support of the Foundation for Innovative Development of Culture, Education and Science along with, the Presidential Foundation for Cultural Initiatives. Specialists of the TV & Radio Centre have studied hundreds of papers from the music archive, where they found previously unperformed Jazz pieces. The audience will appreciate the found tunes and their merits. In the "Jazz With Russian Soul" concert- each piece is unique and worthy of attention. And Alexander Tsfasman's suite for the 1948 production of "At the rustle of your eyelashes" could become a real musical sensation.
