Jharkhand: 33 govt schools reportedly changed weekly holiday to Friday

Dumka (Jharkhand), July 15 (ANI): 33 state-run schools in Dumka, Jharkhand declared their weekly off from Sunday to Friday. These schools have ‘Urdu’ in their names. Department of School Education has ordered a probe into a matter relating to weekly off. Dumka Department of School Education (DSE) Sanjay Kumar Das on July 14 said, “We have written a letter to the BO of the 33 schools advising them to enquire about this matter. All the schools have Urdu in their names.” “There is no instruction from the department to keep schools closed on Friday. After receiving the report, we will start the investigation,” he added.
