Ganderbal (J&K), November 17, (ANI): The Wussan Battalion of the Indian Army has initiated a transformative computer training program for young girls in Kashmir Valley under the Chinar Women Empowerment Center at Kangan in Ganderbal district. The initiative aims to equip participants with essential digital skills, enhancing their career prospects and enabling them to navigate an increasingly digital world. The program, offered free of charge, includes training in basic computer operations, internet usage, and software applications. It has been warmly welcomed by the local community, particularly as many young girls in the region face socio-economic challenges limiting their access to such opportunities. To ensure comprehensive learning, the Indian Army has set up modern computer labs with all necessary equipment and engaged one male and one female instructor to provide personalized, hands-on guidance. Currently, 40 girls from various schools and colleges in the region are participating in the training sessions. This initiative underscores the Army's commitment to promoting gender equality and socio-economic development in the Valley. By bridging the digital divide, the program aspires to inspire a new generation of empowered women leaders in Kashmir.
