J&K Police organises cycle race to promote sports culture in Kashmir

Srinagar, Sept 23 (ANI): Jammu and Kashmir Police organised a cycle race in Srinagar. It aimed to promote the sports culture in Kashmir. The cycle race was titled as ‘Pedal for Peace’. The race was flagged off by the Additional Director General of Police Syed JM Gillani. Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police Dilbag Singh also attended the event. The race started at 6.30 am on the banks of world famous Dal Lake. Around 2,200 youths including 178 girls participated with full of spirit during the event. For the safety of participants, all the armaments including first aid, ambulances, and refreshments were also made available by the police. For the last three years due to COVID-19, youths of the valley could not get the proper chance to participate in such types of activities. Participants were looking very excited and they demanded more such types of events in future.
