JKCA organises first female cricket tournament in Kashmir

Srinagar, July 14 (ANI): Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) organised the first and biggest Female Cricket Tournament in Sher-e-Kashmir Cricket Stadium in Srinagar. Its motive is to promote women cricket in the valley. It was organised in the collaboration of Board of Control for Cricket in India. For the last few years, girls are showing their calibre in every sports including Cricket. They also won gold medals at National and International level. It motivated many girls to take up sports. Recently, JKCA conducted Special Cricket Trials for girls under the supervision of professional coaches. After selection with the help of Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), JKCA has geared up to organise the Female Cricket Tournament in the valley. These selected girls came from all the districts of the valley including far-flung areas. They lauded the authorities for organising this type of tournament to promote female cricket in the valley.
