Joe Biden “disappointed” on reports of Xi Jinping skipping G20 Summit in India

New Delhi, September 4 (ANI): India will host the G20 world leaders on September 09-10 for the final Leaders’ Summit. The stage is all set and the national capital New Delhi is decked up to welcome world leaders. World leaders including Joe Biden, Rishi Sunak, Anthony Albanese will show their presence at much-awaited G20 Summit. Ahead of the much-anticipated G20 Leaders’ Summit a few World leaders will skip the Summit. Chinese Premier Xi Jinping likely to skip the G20 World Leaders’ Summit 2023 in India. Reacting to this, US President Joe Biden said that he is “disappointed” by reports of Xi skipping the meet. Russian President Vladimir Putin has confirmed that he won’t attend the summit in New Delhi next week. On Aug 28, Putin dialed PM Modi and confirmed that FM Sergey Lavrov will represent Russia. India holds the Presidency of the G20 from 1 December 2022 to 30 November 2023. The G20 members represent around 85 per cent of the global GDP. It also represents over 75 per cent of the global trade and about two-thirds of the world’s population.
