Coimbatore (Tamil Nadu), Hyderabad, June 6 (ANI): This elections season, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was aggressive in its ‘Mission South’ and two leaders who made a significant buzz was IPS officer-turned-politician K Annamalai and Madhavi Latha. The articulate Lok Sabha candidates stared at a herculean task to challenge political rivals. While Annamalai, BJP’s Tamil Nadu chief was tasked with an objective to dent DMK in its stronghold, Madhavi Latha took on Assaduddin Owaisi in his ‘pocket borough’ Hyderabad. Both the leaders lost, however, their spirit remains high. Annamalai, who lost to DMK’s Ganapathy Rajkumar in Coimbatore by over 1 lakh votes, said that the party will introspect and will find a way to fix it. However, he highlighted that the party “is growing” and “vote share” has improved and the party is very happy with that. Madhavi Latha, who lost against veteran Parliamentarian, AIMIM chief, referred to Mahabharat to explain her point. "BJP as a party only know how to fight straight forward war. The Pandavas of Mahabharata only knew how to do a Yuddha straight forward but Kaurava knew how to do the same work the other way, they knew how to hit from back. Pandavas did win the Kurukshetra war field but they have lost their kin. They have lost Panch Pandavas who are their own children. They have lost Abhimanyu, a big warrior. So even history tells us that between the war of truth and injustice, the truth has to shell down and sacrifice some amount of their kin. We have to sacrifice our beloved voters because of the wrong allegations, wrong misinterpretations, and wrong communication that has been passed onto those simple, poor, insecure people of this country. But I am sure still the truth wins, justice wins and it prevails. That's the reason BJP has come back to power," said Latha while talking to ANI.
