Karnataka: Software engineer quits job to open ‘Donkey Milk Farm’ in Mangaluru

Mangaluru (Karnataka), June 16 (ANI): A 42-year-old software engineer has quit his job to open a 'Donkey Milk Farm' in Mangaluru. Srinivas Gowda, who was working in IT sector has invested Rs 42 lakh for setting up this firm. Gowda believes that donkey milk has medicinal advantages and wants to make it available to everyone. Presently, Gowda has 20 donkeys in his farm. Speaking about his farm, Gowda said, “I was previously employed in a software firm until 2020. This is one of a kind in India and Karnataka's first donkey farming and training centre.” “Presently we have 20 donkeys and I have made an investment of around Rs 42 lakh. We are planning to sell donkey milk which has a lot of advantages. Our dream is that donkey milk should be available to everyone. Donkey milk is a medicine formula,” he added.
