Kashmir to get new power receiving station under PM Development Package

Kupwara (J&K) Jan 11 (ANI): Kashmir’s far flung areas had no receiving station, which caused a number of challenges for the villagers living there. The government began building a number of power receiving stations, with the power receiving station in Galizoo Kupwara being one of them, in order to give improved energy amenities to remote regions of the Kashmir valley. This new power receiving station has been constructed at an estimated cost of 5.4 Crores under Prime Minister Development package (PMDP)by KPDCL (Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Ltd) and within few days this will be commissioned. Newly constructed power receiving station at Galizoo Kupwara to benefit more than 2500 households. The new receiving station will help in reducing unscheduled power cuts in the area. The locals hail the administration for providing more relief through this receiving station.
