Kashmir tourism peaks in winter, stakeholders expect record-breaking tourists this year
Jan 10, 2023
Srinagar (J&K) Jan 10(ANI): With the onset of the winter season, Kashmir Valley is witnessing a huge increase in tourist arrival. The houseboats on Dal Lake were previously unoccupied amid the frigid conditions, but for the first time this year, the houseboats are also completely booked. Temperatures have dropped to minus six degrees and portions of the lake have frozen, and tourists are staying aboard Dal Lake houseboats to watch these breathtaking sights. The valley’s tourism stakeholders are hopeful that, like in the summer, the winter will witness a great surge as well, and that a record number of tourists will arrive this year again in the coming months. Last year, the Kashmir Valley had a record amount of tourists, and this year will break that record.
