Rafah, May 29 (ANI): More than 40 people including children were brutally killed in Gaza’s Rafah as Israel continues to pound Palestine. The IDF rained a series of strikes on Rafah, killing at least 45 people at a displacement camp, reported CNN. Earlier, Israel Defence Forces confirmed the strike and claimed that it struck two Hamas Commanders. The IDF said that it was aware of reports indicating that several civilians were harmed due to the strike and fire that was ignited. Post-attack visuals depict the gruesome scene at the site showing people clues about what to do next. Meanwhile, the Israeli attack has invited the world to unite and stand against the massacre of civilians in Gaza. USA, who has been a constant support to Israel since the outbreak of war, urged Jerusalem to “prioritise civilian’s safety”. Earlier on May 24, the ICJ ordered an immediate ceasefire, in the case brought by SA accusing Israel of genocide. The order was welcomed by the League of Arab States on May 28 demanding that Israel immediately cease its atrocities in Rafah. UN SG António Guterres condemned Israeli strike in Rafah, saying "horror must stop" and added that there is no safe place in Gaza. Meanwhile, celebrities across world have come together to condemn Israeli hostilities as “all eyes on Rafah” trends online. Taking to Instagram & ‘X’, more than 33 million netizens including celebrities show their support for innocent lives. However, Israeli PM Netanyahu on May 28 called it a "tragic mistake" and said that investigation is underway. Notably, more than 36,000 Palestinians have been killed in Israel's offensive according to Gaza's Health Ministry. Israel launched its air & ground operation after Hamas attacked southern Israeli communities on Oct. 7, killing around 1,200 people.
