Kolhapur: Newly-weds ride atop water tanker to raise water crisis

Kolhapur (Maharashtra), July 09, (ANI): A couple rode atop a water tanker on their wedding day in Kolhapur, to call attention on the ongoing water crisis in the city. Their guests and family members carried water pots in the procession. The newly-weds have vowed not to go on a honeymoon until this crisis ends, according to the message written on the tanker. The groom Vishal Kolekar and his bride Aparna Salunkhe live in Khasbaug-Mirajkar Tikti locality of Kolhapur city, where the water supply has not been restored.
