Kupwara’s Syed Uzma Hamid to attend WEF’s ‘Global Shapers Annual Summit’ in Geneva

Srinagar, June 27 (ANI): Syed Uzma Hamid, a postgraduate student hailing from Jammu and Kashmir’s Kupwara, has been selected to take part in the highly coveted Global Shapers Annual Summit. It provides him with a platform to showcase her passion for social change and innovation. Her selection for this esteemed summit is a testament to her exceptional dedication and tireless efforts in the field of social work. Uzma’s participation in the summit not only reflects her achievements but also brings honour to her institution. Since December 2023, she has been leading a significant project on menstrual education. Her dedication made her the first woman from Kashmir to represent on such a global platform. Syed Uzma Hamid’s participation in the ‘Global Shapers Annual Summit’ underscores the University of Kashmir (KU)’s commitment to encouraging change agents who advocate for critical causes like social justice. Notably, Global Shapers Annual Summit, organised by World Economic Forum (WEF), will take place in Geneva-Cologny, Switzerland, from July 10 to July 12.
