“A logistical marvel…”: International Monetary Fund on India’s direct cash transfer scheme

Washington DC (US), October 13 (ANI): Commenting on India's cash transfer schemes at the Fiscal Monitor Press Briefing 2022 on October 12 (local time), Deputy Director of Fiscal Affairs Department Paolo Mauro called India’s scheme a logistical marvel. “India's case is quite impressive. The sheer size of country makes it a logistical marvel- how these programs, seeking to help people at low income levels, reach hundreds of millions of people,” said Paolo Mauro.
